Link to Full Story | KGW (our local NBC news outlet) did a follow up interview today! A big thank you to those that continue to push our story and champion our cause! This event has been life altering for all of us and this will financially devastate our family indefinitely without assistance. If our story has touched you, here are six ways you can help us.
1. Grassroots: would you be interested in joining forces with a local group to help spread awareness of our situation? Maybe passing out cards, holding banners, sending emails, etc? If so, please reach out to me and I will put you in contact with our “campaign manager”, who is a dear friend of mine since high school Cost: time
2. Signage: do you have a business or know of a business that would be willing to hang one of our GoFundMe flyers? If so, you can print them directly from our website (www.bringdianajameshome.org), about 1/2 way down on the first page on the right side. Cost: ink/paper/tape/time.
3. Social Media: we are on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X (Twitter)…all with the handle bring Diana James home, except X is just bring Diana home (the links to these platforms are also available t the top of our website). Would you consider going over to those platforms and like and follow our accounts? The benefit to your likes, follows, comments and shares is Meta’s algorithm picks up on it and starts to do the heavy lifting for us. Cost: time
4. Sharing: would you consider sharing our content on social media? Would you share our reels, share our website, share our GoFundMe….and also ask your friends and family do the same? This part is critical as people need to know how they can help because without context, it has no meaning to others who do not know us. Cost: time and maybe annoying your own friends and family
5. Contacts: do you know any one who could help? Organizations? Bands who could volunteer a benefit show? Restaurant owners who could do a percentage benefit? Business owners? Podcasters? People in the media world? Local celebrities? Big celebrities? Do you know anyone who might be moved enough by our story to champion our cause. Cost: time and maybe an awkward ask of someone you know to see if they would be willing to help.
6. Donations: I know we have exhausted the piggy banks of most of our friends and families….but can you share our story and ask your friends and family to chip in and/or share our story? We can accept donations at any Columbia Credit Union or mailed to them, under account 57320782, earmarked for Bring Diana James Home (this option doesn’t have fees for you or for us). Or people can contribute to our GoFundMe. We’ve done some simple math….if we could get 825 people to donate $200, we could get her home OR 8,250 people to donate $20. Cost: people’s personal discretion, nothing is too big or too small!
I hope that your heart finds a way to do anything you can to help move our cause forward. Having our family home is our only Christmas wish this year. Our holidays will likely be different and spent at a hospital but we are very hopeful that it will be a hospital here in the US watching my mom finally getting care she desperately needs and we will all finally be able to be together as a family….kids, spouses and grandchildren and one very important and special mom/grandma!❤️
Thank you for your consideration!
